Donating Sperm

If you’ve ever needed quick cash and want to help a family in the process, donating sperm is the side hustle for you! Although it can be a tedious process to get approved, if you are and become a long-term donor, this is a great way to regularly make money with some men making up to $1,500 a month from donations!

Before you can donate sperm, you need to apply and be approved. If you are between the ages of 18-39, you can throw in an application to find out if you meet the necessary criteria! A fun fact is that only 5% of applicants can actually donate their sperm.

If you’re at a loss of where to start, keep reading for a step-by-step guide to start donating your semen.

Step one: Fill out a detailed questionnaire. As we said before, you need to be between 18-39 to be considered to donate your sperm. You also need to be a male (of course). You will answer detailed questions that dive not only into your personal health history, but family history as well. This helps identify potential conditions that could be passed onto children.

An important note is that anyone with a family history of cystic fibrosis or sickle cell anemia will automatically be disqualified, as well as individuals who have had sex with other men or have used intravenous drugs. They will identify what allergies you have, tattoos, and career and education.

Step two: Physical exam. You may think that it’s over after finishing your questionnaire, but that’s not it! You will take urine, blood, and genetic testing to screen you for infectious diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis A and C. This examination will also include a genital exam and a color vision. If you haven’t been to the doctor’s in awhile, this is a great free checkup!

Step three: Give a sample. Once the hard part is out of the way, you will give your first sample. This sample is going to undergo professional scrutiny and be tested on motility and morphology, a fancy way of saying how well your sperm move and how healthy they are. This is the first sample you will give and will be destroyed after testing, so this will not be paid.

Step four: Make another deposit. This deposit will be frozen for six months to see if it still holds up after six months. Many sperm do not survive frozen this long, making those ineligible to be recurring donors. If your sperm can hold up for six months, you can donate regularly!

Step five: Donate your samples. Most donors are encouraged to donate at least once a week and even up to three times a week. If you make regular donations, you can make up to $1,500 a month. That’s an additional $18,000 a year!

Tips

The best tip we can give you to maximize your monthly income with this side hustle is to donate as many times as you can per week! You will usually be paid around $100 per sample, with $70ish given to you at the time of donation and the remainder given after it’s been released.
